I am so mad right now. Last week--a week ago, mind you--I called UHaul to make reservations for our trailers. I was told I would get a call today to get the hitches installed in our cars, then could pick up the trailers tomorrow.
"Are you sure they're open on Memorial Day."
"Yes, ma'am."
Well, I get home from spinning at 10 this morning with a message saying to call back right away. Apparently the hitches have to be ordered, and the ordering place is closed today, so they can't put the call in until tomorrow and the earliest they would get here is Wednesday. I planned an extra day just in case, but not three. We have to sign the lease Sunday, and Monday morning people are coming in to install the internet, electric, gas, etc. I have calmed down from the initial call, and will be calling them back to ask some more questions. Like, Why, when I placed the order a week ago, are you just figuring out that you don't have the parts today? Ahhh!! I am of the arrogant mindset that if I don't do it, it won't be done right. And situations like these just back me up.

I am a HUGE "Buffy" fan, and tonight was the series finale. It was fantastic! In the words of Stephanie, another avid fan, "There is no way any ending would have satisfied me. This one did. They did such a great job." I must agree. This, however made me laugh: On a news webpage, one of the first headlines is "U.S. Terror Alert Raised on Hints of Major Attack." But the billing above it? "Bye, Bye, Buffy. Say Farewell to the Slayer." And the one below it? "Which 'Dawson's Creek' Star's career will die?" It really goes to show what's important in this country. By the way, my cat is doing wonderfully at her new home. I am very thankful for the family and the situation!

I should be happy. And a part of me is. The part that knows my cat is going to a good home and she won't be in some cage somewhere waiting to be rejected by families because she's not a kitten. But the part of me who's had her since the 7th grade is sad. It's happening so fast. The family came over last night to meet her, and they're coming back tomorrow to take her away from me. I miss her already.
