Just as I was congratulating myself for another fabulous batch of banana nut bread I was about to put in the oven (it's for a lunch tomorrow), I realized I had left out a key ingredient. That would be the nuts. So I poured the nuts on top of the batter, which was already in the loaf pan, and used a wooden spoon to mash them in. We'll see how that works in 65 minutes.
